I know I told you that I would blog everyday.
Failure.
I started my classes and have just been COMPLETELY swamped with reading and papers and more reading and tests and quizzes, etc. not to mention my ever crazy customer service gig and the fact that I lost my camera last year and have yet to dish out the dough for a new one...so that leaves pictures up to my phone which is awful if it's not bright in the room (no flash, I'll remember that next time).
BUT, One week from now it will be Spring Break and I am bound and determined to set aside whatever time I can in between working to get my blog and my house together.
I have been doing some, err, "tumbling" http://veganistie.tumblr.com/.
I found this old article I ripped out of a magazine as a kid on feng shui. Totally wanna declutter. We just have so much STUFF and I don't know how to organize it.
I have been wanting this for absolute ages:
I know I've been trying not to spend money (aka my student loan) but I think it would just help us to get organized and the house not look like crap. They have a bigger one for $199 and a smaller one for $89 but I'm thinking this medium-sized one ($129) would work well.
If we weren't renting, it might be easier...I really wish I could hang all of his guitars on the wall and stuff but we did those kinds of things in the last place we rented and it was an absolute terror when we tried to leave, haha. I think I'll also feel better when we get this huge, broken projection screen TV out of here. Next time one of Marc's friends come over, I'll have them help carry it out to the dumpster. I just didn't wanna strain myself over a broken television. Beds, dressers, couches, yes. Television, no thanks. I used to want the smaller IKEA bookshelf, turned sideways so it could double as a TV stand but TV just isn't really a priority.
Not having one has been SO AWESOME. I mean, with Netflix nowadays, who the heck would want it anyways? Plus the Internet has everything I could ever wanna look up that I'd see on HGTV or some kinda Home Design show.
Also on the Spring Break hit list is the 2nd bedroom. Still filled with boxes from the move. Is that the most embarrassing thing I have ever said? It' just like I closed the door and haven't looked back on it.
The only thing I hate about this place is a bit of a lack of natural light and NO ceiling fans/lights (just a couple near the door, hall, and kitchen) which means it gets pretty dark in here sometimes. I actually think that's why I feel so tired when I get home. IDK what I can do to fix this... I'd rather have natural light but that's not happening and I'm not really up for a move again until I finish school (December).
Well I'm off work today (how'd I score that?) so I need to find something for us to do today.
Be back soon----PROMISE!!
